NOMINATION FOR ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND DELEGATES FOR THE 41st CONVENTION IN AUGUST IN SAN DIEGO          Local 213 will be holding nominations for the upcoming election of officers on November 12th, 2025, with the election to be held on Saturday, December 6, by walk-in ballots from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at the union hall located at 351 King William Road. The nominations and election for the delegates for the 41st Convention to be held in San Diego, California, from August 17, 2026, to August 21, 2026, will be held at the same time. There will be a mail-out letter and a reminder email to follow.

There will be CWB testing on Thursday, Nov. 6th, at 8am; anyone interested, please contact the hall to reserve a booth.

The 1st call is for Sunny Corner at Point Lepreau: They require

* 1 Journeyman Pipefitter

Starting Monday, November 3rd, at 7:00am.  Duration: 2 weeks plus.  4×10’s with possible additional overtime depending on the owner’s requirement.  Shift will be 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Thursday day shift.  Hours of work will be as per NBPN’s hours of work policy.  Mandatory days off will not be paid.  Work is all outside installing underground PVC B&S piping and fittings for a new wastewater treatment plant.  Some work will be out of trench boxes and confined spaces.  Work will involve tying into the existing wastewater treatment plant.  A criminal background check will be required for controlled area access.  Must have all safety training up to date and be clean-shaven. 

The 2nd call is for B&W at the Irving Wallboard: They require

 *1 Apprentice Pipefitter 

Starting Nov. 4th after dispatch. 7:30am Duration: Unknown Will be working 4x10s with possible overtime. 40 hours plus.  This work is under the Industrial Agreement.  Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested.  Must have all safety training up to date. Must complete online orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. 

The 3rd call is for B&W at various sites: They require

 * 1 Journeyman Pipefitter * 1 F3/F4 Welder to test on F3/F4

Starting Nov. 10th at 7:30am Duration: 2 Weeks Plus.  Will be working 4x10s with possible overtime. 40 hours plus.  This work is under the Industrial Agreement.  Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested.  Must have all safety training up to date. Must complete online orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. 

The 4th call is for B&W at various sites: They require

 * 1 Journeyman Pipefitter * 1 F3/F4 Welder to test on F3/F4 

Starting Nov. 17th at 7:30am Duration: 2 Weeks Plus.  Will be working 4x10s with possible overtime. 40 hours plus.  This work is under the Industrial Agreement.  Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested.  Must have all safety training up to date. Possibility of high work, lots of stairs, walking, climbing, heavy lifting, and heavy rigging. Fit up large bore SS.  Must have all safety training up to date. Must complete online orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site.

The Saint John Shrine Club will be hosting a Men’s Lobster Stag on November 14, 2025, at the Masonic Temple, 92 Germain Street.  The door/bar opens at 5:00pm, hors d’oeuvres at 6:00pm, and dinner at 7:00pm.  There are 6 tickets available.  Any retirees interested, please contact the hall by October 30th to have your name put in the draw.  Names will be drawn on Monday, November 3rd.  Anyone looking to purchase tickets, they are $70.00 each.  For tickets, contact Allan McTaggart (506-650-5184), Brian Hickman (506-271-3290), or Wade Moore (506-639-0493) by November 10th.

The Saint John Lions Club will be hosting a Lobster Take Out on November 15th; you can pick up the meals between 1 and 5pm. The dinner will include 2 lobsters, potato salad, coleslaw, a Moosehead product, and a donut or cookie. There are 6 tickets available; any members interested can contact the hall by Oct. 30th to have their name put in the draw. The draw will take place on Nov. 3rd.

Starting ASAP at 7:30am. This is a day shift call. Duration: 2-4 Weeks.  40 hours plus.  This work is under the NMA agreement under short-term conditions as per the site memo. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. Must complete online orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. A D&A test is required.

The 2nd call is for CAM at the Irving Oil Refinery: They require

 * 2 Journeyman Pipefitters
