This is Local 213’s work information for Tuesday, March 10th, 2026

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of local brother Carl Boudreau. Arrangements are in the care of the St. George Funeral Home. 26 Portage Street, St. George. There will be visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A graveside service will take place at the St. George Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Donations can be made in Carl’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or your local food bank.

The regular monthly meeting will be held Wednesday, March 11th, at 7:00pm. It will be held at the Legion Branch 69, located at 714 Wilson Street West.

There will be a fall protection course held at the hall on Friday, March 13th, and a confined space course held on March 19th and 20th. Any members interested, please contact Jamie at JATC and get registered.

There will be CWB testing at the hall on April 3rd; if anyone is interested, please contact the hall to reserve a booth.

The 1st call is for Lorneville at Irving Pulp & Paper; they require:

 *1 Apprentice Pipefitter 

Starting Monday, March 16th, at 5:00pm. This is a night shift call. The shift schedule is 4x10s Monday – Thursday. Duration: 2 months plus. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested, must have all safety training up-to-date, and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. 

The 2nd call is for B&W at Irving Oil Refinery, they require:

*1 Journeyman Pipefitter

Starting Monday, March 16th, at 7:30am.  The shift schedule is 4×10’s with possible overtime.  Duration is 3 months plus.  This work is under the National Maintenance Agreement.  Must be clean shaven and fit tested, must have all safety training up to date, and must complete all orientation and hire on paperwork before reporting to the site.  A drug and alcohol test will also be required.

The 3rd call is for B&W at Irving Pulp & Paper, they require:

*4 Journeyman Pipefitters *1 Apprentice Pipefitter *3 F3/F4 Welders to test on F3/F4 and Stainless Tig *1 Apprentice Welder

Starting Monday, March 16th, at 7:30am.  The shift schedule is 4×10’s with possible overtime.  Duration is unknown.  This work is under the Industrial Agreement.  Must be clean shaven and fit tested, must have all safety training up to date, and must complete all orientation and hire on paperwork before reporting to site.  Working at heights and hot area.

Starting Thursday, March 12th, at 7:30 am. This is a night shift call. The shift schedule is 4x10s with possible overtime. Duration: 2-3 weeks with possible overtime. This call is for a 2-break shift. This work is under the GPMA Agreement under short-term conditions. Will report to the site on March 12th on days for Fresh Air Training and then start nights on Monday, March 16th. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested, must have all safety training up-to-date, and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. A D&A test is required.

The 3rd call is for Lorneville at Irving Pulp and Paper Mill; they require:

 *2 Apprentice Welders 1 for Day shift and 1 for night shift

Starting Monday, March 9th, at 7:00am for days and 5:00pm for nights. The shift schedule is 4x10s with possible overtime. Duration: 2 weeks plus. This work is under the Industrial Agreement.
