Saint John’s Day of Mourning ceremonies will be held at Lily Lake Pavilion (Day of Mourning Monument) on Monday, April 28th, at 12:00pm. Please arrive at 11:30am if you would like to participate. Everyone is welcome.
Local 213 will be hosting a social breakfast for our retired members only on May 9th at the Legion Branch 69, located at 714 Wilson Street West. Doors will open at 9am, and food will be served from 9:30 to 11:30, and the event will end at 12pm. Breakfast will include bacon and sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes, tea biscuits and muffins, tea, coffee, and juice. Please contact the hall to register.
There is 1 call for Lorneville at the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill; they require:
*1 Apprentice Pipefitter
Starting Wednesday, April 23rd, at 7:00am. Duration is 2 weeks plus. You will be working 4x10s Monday-Thursday. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit tested. Must have all safety training up to date. Must complete online orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James (Jim) Magee on April 14th, 2025. The funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home at 230 Westmorland Road. Visitation will take place on Monday, April 21, 2025, between 11 am and 1 pm, followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 1 pm in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel. Immediately after the mass, please join the family in a time of fellowship in the reception hall.
