January’s monthly meeting will be held the first Wednesday of the month January 7, 2026 for the swearing in of the new elected Officers. Then return to the second Wednesday of the month of February and remain the second Wednesday of the month for the rest of the year.
The hall will be closing Wednesday, December 24th at noon for the Christmas holidays and re-opening Monday, January 5th at 8:00am.
The weld shop will be closed for the holidays on Monday, December 22nd and will re-open Monday, January 5th.
Any members that would like to register for the following courses, please contact the hall; Forklift, Supervisor, and Shop Steward courses. Dates are TBD.
There is one call for Lorneville at the Saint John LNG, they require;
*1 Journeyman Welder to test on F6/F4 Carbon, Stainless steel tig, Mud Rod
Starting Monday, January 5th at 7:00am. Duration is 2 weeks plus and they are working 4×10’s Monday to Thursday 7:00am – 5:00pm. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must have all safety training up to date, must be clean shaven and fit tested, must be able to climb and work at heights, lots of stairs, lots of walking, heavy lifting, heavy rigging, fit up large bore stainless steel. 100% xray for all welds on site.

The ratification vote for the Commercial/Residential agreement took place Wednesday night December 17th, where the proposal was rejected by a 55% margin. 9 votes in favor and 11 against.
The hall will be closing Wednesday, December 24th at noon for the Christmas holidays and re-opening Monday, January 5th at 8:00am.
The weld shop will be closed for the holidays on Monday, December 22nd and will re-open Monday, January 5th.

1st call is for Lorneville at the Irving Oil Refinery – ESJ, they require;
*1 Apprentice Pipefitter
Starting Monday, January 5th at 7:00am. Duration is 2 weeks plus and they are working 4×10’s 7:00am – 5:00pm with the possibility of additional overtime. This work is under the NMA Short term based on site memo. Must have all safety training up to date, must be fit tested, must be able to climb and work at heights and a D&A test is required.

There will be a Ratification vote for the Commercial and Residential Agreements this evening Wednesday, December 17th at 7:00pm at the Legion Branch 69, 714 Wilson Street West. We are looking for volunteers for scrutineers for the Ratification Vote. Any members interested please contact the hall. The volunteers should arrive at 6:30pm.
