RATIFICATION VOTE FOR THE COMMERCIAL/RESIDENTIAL AGREEMENT: There will be a vote at the Legion Branch 69 (714 Wilson Street West) on Feb. 25th, 2026. Reading will start at 6:30pm. Vote to follow immediately after reading. Pools will close at 7:30pm. Must show a union card or government-issued photo ID to be eligible to vote.
The 1st call is for CAM at Irving Oil Refinery; they require:
*1 F3/F4 Welder to test on F3/F4
Starting Monday, Feb 23rd, at 7:30am. This is a Day shift call. The shift schedule is 4x10s with possible overtime. Duration is unknown. This work is under the GPMA Agreement, under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested, must have all safety training up-to-date, and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. A drug and alcohol test is required.
The 2nd call is for Lorneville at IPP; they require:
*1 Apprentice Pipefitter
Starting Monday, Feb. 23rd, at 7:00 am. This is a DAY shift call. The shift schedule is 4x10s with possible overtime. Duration is 1 month plus. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested, must have all safety training up-to-date, and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site.
The 2nd call is for Lorneville at IPP; they require:
*1 Journeyman Pipefitter

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brother Charlie Monaghan. Arrangements are entrusted to Castle Funeral Home at 309 Lancaster Ave. Visitation will take place on Thursday, Feb. 19th, from 1:00 to 3:00pm. A celebration of life will take place at St. Augustine’s Cemetery in the spring. Donations can be made in Charlie’s memory to Carleton Kirk Nursing Lodge or a donor of your choice.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brother Sterling Kearney. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, located at 111 Paradise Row in Saint John, NB. Visitation will be Thurs., Feb. 12th, from 2-4 and 6-8 and Friday, Feb. 13th, from 2-4 and 6-8. A funeral service will take place on Sat., Feb. 14th, at 11:00am in the chapel.
It is also with great sadness we announce the passing of Brother Charlie Monaghan. We will update funeral arrangements when they become available.
Please be advised that the Union Hall will be closed on Monday, Feb. 16th, for Family Day and reopening on Tuesday, Feb. 17th.

There may be a requirement to reduce the shift to 8 hours during an outage if there is downtime. Duration is approx. 3 months. This work is under the NMA Agreement. Will be climbing and working off scaffolding. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested, must have all safety training up-to-date, and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. CSIS Clearance is required.
The 3rd call for Sunny Corner at Point Lepreau; they require:
*1 Pipefitter *2 F3/F4 Welders to test on NBPN weld procedures.
Welders: Starting Monday, March 23rd, at 7:00 am for practice and testing. Pipefitters will be starting April 7th at 7:00am. Shifts prior to the outage will be 4×10’s Mon-Thurs 7am-5pm with 2 breaks. Shifts during outages will be 5×12. Additional overtime may be required. There may be a requirement to reduce the shift to 10 hours during an outage.
