There will be CWB testing at the Hall on March 15th. Please contact the Hall to get registered.

Any Pipefitters interested in a Fiberglass Course please contact the Hall to get registered.

There will be a Fall Protection course held at the Hall, the date is to be determined. Any members interested please contact the Hall to get registered.

1st call for Cam at the Irving Oil Refinery they require:

*1 Instrument Tech Journeyman

Starting  ASAP Day shift 7:30 am.  Duration is unknown. Will be working 4 x 10’s , 40 hours plus possible overtime . This work is under the Long Term GPMA Agreement.  Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must be clean shaven and fit tested. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.

2nd call is for CAM at the Irving Oil Refinery they require:

*3 Instrument Tech Apprentices

Starting Monday March. 11th Day shift 7:30 am.  Duration is unknown. Will be working 4 x 10’s , 40 hours plus possible overtime . Friday, March 1st

This is Local 213’s Work Information for Friday, March 1st.

It is with great sadness that we announce local member Douglas Hoyt passed away Feb. 25th, 2024.  Arrangements will take place at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium located at 26 Portage Street in St. George NB. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-4 with a service by the Baptist Church to follow.  In Doug’s memory, donations to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

*1 Journeyman Pipefitter,

Starting Monday March 4th, Day shift 7:30am. Duration is 1 week plus.  Will be working 5×8’s. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Tube bending is required. Must be able to pass a tube bending test.  Must be clean shaven and fit tested, must have all safety training up to date and a D&A test is required.

3rd call is for Sunny Corner at Point Lepreau they require:

*1 F3/F4 Welder for Days; will test on Heavy Wall Tig P1-P1 and Tig/Stick.

Starting April 22nd. Shift start times, end times and break schedule is TBD. Report to Union Hall for Mock-up training/orientation which will be approx 5 weeks.  Site execution approx 4-7 days.  Will be 5-8’s with overtime as required for aprox 1 week for site specific training.  Training will be days and nights for the 4 weeks of mock-up training and site mobilization.  These 4 weeks will be on 5×10’s Monday -Friday. Shifts at site, during execution will be 12 hour shifts.  Everyone will start on days then night shift hire on’s will transition to nights. There may be stand down time during the outage which will be paid at 8 hours.  Work is in the RB and there will be work in SCBA suits. This work is under the PLGS NMA Agreement. Must be clean shaven and fit tested, Must have all safety training up to date. Clearance is required.
