This is Local 213’s work information for Monday, March 9th, 2026
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of local brother Carl Boudreau. Arrangements are in the care of the St. George Funeral Home. 26 Portage Street, St. George. There will be visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A graveside service will take place at the St. George Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Donations can be made in Carl’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or your local food bank.
The regular monthly meeting will be held Wednesday, March 11th, at 7:00pm. It will be held at the Legion Branch 69, located at 714 Wilson Street West.
There will be a fall protection course held at the hall on Friday, March 13th, and a confined space course held on March 19th and 20th. Any members interested, please contact Jamie at JATC and get registered.
There will be CWB testing at the hall on April 3rd; if anyone is interested, please contact the hall to reserve a booth.
The 1st call is for Lorneville at LNG; they require:
*2 Journeyman Pipefitters
Starting Monday, March 16th, at 7:00am. The shift schedule is 4x10s with possible overtime. Duration: 1 week plus. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested, must have all safety training up-to-date, and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. MUST be able to provide a physical copy of a valid government issued photo ID to the SJ LNG Security personnel upon arrival.
The 2nd call is for B&W at Irving Oil Refinery, they require:
*1 Journeyman Pipefitter
Starting Monday, March 16th, at 7:30am. The shift schedule is 4×10’s with possible overtime. Duration is 3 months plus. This work is under the National Maintenance Agreement. Must be clean shaven and fit tested, must have all safety training up to date, and must complete all orientation and hire on paperwork before reporting to the site. A drug and alcohol test will also be required.
