This is Local 213’s work information for Monday, Oct. 19th, 2026.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brother Mike McCue. Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home—230 Westmorland Road, in Saint John. Visitation will be held on Sat., Oct. 24th, from 12pm to 2:00pm. There will be a celebration of life that will be held in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel starting at 2:00pm. Donations in memory of Mike can be made to a donor of your choice.

It is also with great sadness we announce the passing of Brother Larry Kilpatrick. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Salisbury Funeral Home. As per Larry’s wishes, there will be a celebration of life held at a later date.

There will be a NAUSC Supervisor Level 1 Certification course at the JATC in Miramichi on November 23-27. Anyone interested, please contact Jamie at the JATC to get registered. 506-622-0219

There will be a lobster stag held at the Masonic Temple—92 Germain Street—on Friday, Nov. 13th. There will be a draw for the tickets. Any retirees interested, please contact the hall to register by Nov. 4th.

1st call for B&W at the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill: They require: 

* 1 Journeyman Pipefitter

Starting Tuesday, Oct. 20th, after dispatch. This is a dayshift call. Will be working 4×10’s with possible overtime. The duration is 2 weeks plus. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Will be working in a hot area of the mill. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must have all safety training up to date. You must complete online orientation before reporting to the site. 

The 2nd call for B&W at the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill: They require: 

* 1 Apprentice Pipefitter

Starting Monday, Oct. 26th, This is a dayshift call. Will be working 4×10’s with possible overtime. The duration is 2 weeks plus. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must have all safety training up to date. You must complete online orientation before reporting to the site. 

The 3rd call for Lorneville at the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill: They require: 

* 1 Journeyman Pipefitter * 2 Apprentice Pipefitters 

Starting Monday, Oct. 26, at 6:00pm. This is a night shift call. Will be working 4×10’s with time. The duration is 3 weeks plus. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must have all safety training up to date. You must complete online orientation before reporting to the site.
