Local 213 is hosting a retiree breakfast on Friday, April 17th. It is being held at the Legion Branch 69, located at 714 Wilson Street West. Any local 213 retirees that would like to attend, please contact the hall to get registered. Come and join the comradery with your fellow retired brothers from 9am to 12pm. The buffet will run until 11am.
A confined space course will be held at the hall on March 19th and 20th. Any members interested, please contact Jamie at JATC and get registered.
There will be CWB testing at the hall date tbd; if anyone is interested, please contact the hall to reserve a booth.
The first call is for Cam at the Irving Oil Refinery; they require:
*1 F3/F4 Welder to test on F3/F4; F6/F5
Starting on Monday, March 23rd, at 7:30am. This is a Day shift call. The shift schedule is 4x10s with possible overtime. Duration is unknown. This work is under the GPMA Agreement under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested, must have all safety training up to date, and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. A drug & alcohol test is required.
The 2nd call is for Cam at the Irving Oil Refinery; they require:
* 1 Journeyman Pipefitter * 1 F3/F4 Welder to test on F3/F4; F6/F5
Starting on Monday, March 23rd, at 7:30pm. This is a Night shift call. The shift schedule is 4x10s with possible overtime. Duration is approx. 1 week, with 6-7 shifts. The job scope is outages. This work is under the GPMA Agreement under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested, must have all safety training up to date, and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. A drug & alcohol test is required.
The 3rd call is for Lorneville at the Irving Paper Limited East; they require:
*1 Welding Apprentice.
Starting on Monday, March 23rd, at 7:00am. This is a Day shift call. The shift schedule is 4x10s with possible overtime. Duration is 1 week plus. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested, must have all safety training up to date, and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site.
The 4th call is for Legacy Gas Works at the Skretting Fish Feed Plant; they require:
*1 Journeyman Pipefitter *1 Apprentice Pipefitter *1 F3/F4 Welder to test will be determined.
Starting on Monday, March 23rd, at 7:00am. The shift schedule is 4x10s with possible overtime. Duration is 1 week plus. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested, must have all safety training up to date, and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site.

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of local brother Carl Boudreau. Arrangements are in the care of the St. George Funeral Home. 26 Portage Street, St. George. There will be visitation on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. A graveside service will take place at the St. George Catholic Cemetery in the spring. Donations can be made in Carl’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or your local food bank.
