This is Local 213’s work information for Wednesday, August 27th, 2025. 

The Labour Day Parade will take place on Monday, Sept. 1st; we will be meeting at Long Wharf at 11am.Please be advised that due to unforeseen circumstances, the city has rerouted the parade route. The revised layout will be Smithe Street, proceeding up to St. Patrick Street, then down to Water Street, concluding at area 506.We still volunteer’s to prepare the float on Friday morning at 10am. If you are able to participate, please advise the hall.

1st call for Stuart Olson at the Irving Oil Refinery: They  require

* 8 Journeyman Pipefitters for Days  * 4 Journeyman Pipefitters for Nights * 3 Apprentice Pipefitters for Days * 2 Apprentice Pipefitters for Nights

Starting Monday, Sept. 22nd, 7:30am for Day shift and 7:30pm for Night shift. Duration is 2 weeks plus. Will be working 6×10’s. This call is for TURNAROUND. This work is under the GPMA agreement under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.

2nd call for CAM at the Irving Oil Refinery: They require

*1 Journeyman Pipefitter

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, at 7:30am. Duration is unknown. Will be working 4×10’s, 40 hours with possible overtime. This request is for a 2-break shift. Job Scope: Maintenance. This work is under the GPMA short-term agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.

3rd call for CAM at the Irving Oil Refinery: They require

 *4 Journeyman Instrument Tech’s & *1 Apprentice Instrument Tech Apprentice for Nights 

Starting Monday, Sept. 8th, at 7:30am/7:30pm. Duration is unknown. Will be working 4×10’s, 40 hours with possible overtime. This request is for a 2-break shift. Job Scope: Maintenance. This work is under the GPMA short-term agreement. THIS IS A TURNAROUND CALL. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.

4th call for B&W at the Irving Oil Refinery:They require

*1 F3/F4 Welders to test on F3/F4 

Weld test on Tuesday, Sept. 2nd, at 7:30am, and report to work after a successful test. Duration is unknown. Will be working 4×10’s, 40 hours with possible overtime. This work is under the NMA short-term agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.
