It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brother Edward Warren, who passed away on Sunday, Sept. 7th. The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home in Miramichi on Saturday, September 13th, from 1:30 to 3pm, with a funeral service to follow in the Chapel at 3pm. Interment will take place at St. Andrew Presbyterian Cemetery, Clairville, NB, on Sunday afternoon, Sept. 14th, at 3pm. In memory of Ed, donations can be made out to the IWK Halifax.
We just received notification about the passing of Brother James Holt, who passed away on Aug. 11th, in Alva, Florida, USA.
The regular monthly meeting will be held tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 10th, at 7pm at the Legion Branch 69, located at 714 Wilson Street West.
The 1st call is for Stuart Olson at the Irving Oil Refinery: They require
* 4 Journeyman Pipefitters for Days and * 4 Journeyman Pipefitters for Nights
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 23rd, 7:30am for day shift, 7:30pm for night shift. Duration is 2 weeks plus. Will be working 6×10’s. This call is for TURNAROUND . This work is under the GPMA agreement under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.
3rd call is for Lorneville at the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill: They require
* 2 Journeyman Pipefitters * 1 Apprentice Pipefitter * 1 F3/F4 Welders to test on Duplex Tig and Carbon Stick.
Starting Monday, Sept. 15th, at 7:00am. Duration is 3 weeks plus. Will be working 4×10’s Monday – Thursday. 7am-5pm.This work is under the Industrial agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date.
