This is Local 213’s work information for Tuesday, Sept. 1st, 2026.
The Labor Day Parade will take place on Monday, Sept. 7th, 2026, beginning at 11:30 am, with setup starting at 10:45 am. The parade will start from Long Wharf in Saint John. Following the parade, there will be a free BBQ at Chown Fields, located at the corner of Prince Edward Street and Crown Street. Families are encouraged to attend, as there will be bouncy castles, face painting, and a magic show for kids. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun and festivities.
The 1st call is for Lorneville at Irving Oil Refinery; they require
* 1 Journeyman Pipefitter
Starting Monday, Sept. 14th, at 7:30 pm. This is a night shift call starting on days for one week and then switching to nights. Job Scope: Minor Outage: THIS IS NOT A SHUTDOWN CALL. The duration is 3 weeks plus. The shift schedule is 5x10s plus. This work is under the NMA Agreement under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested and must have all safety training up-to-date and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. A D&A test is required.
The 2nd call is for B&W at Colson Cove; they require
* 1 F3/F4 welder to test on F3/F4 and 2 1/4 chrome days *
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 8th, at 7:30 am/7:30 pm. The shift schedule is 12-hour shifts. The duration is approx. 2 weeks. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested and must have all safety training up-to-date and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before arrival.
The 3rd call is for B&W at the Fab Shop; they require
* 1 Journeyman Pipefitter * 3 F3/F4 Welders to test on F3/F4 and 2 1/4 chrome.
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 8th, at 7:30 am. This is a day-shift call. The duration is approx. 2 weeks. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested and must have all safety training up-to-date and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before arrival.
