The Saint John Shrine Club will be hosting a Men’s Lobster Stag on November 14, 2025, at the Masonic Temple, 92 Germain Street. The door/bar opens at 5:00pm, hors d’oeuvres at 6:00pm, and dinner at 7:00pm. There are 6 tickets available. Any retirees interested, please contact the hall by October 30th to have your name put in the draw. Names will be drawn on Monday, November 3rd. Anyone looking to purchase tickets, they are $70.00 each. For tickets, contact Allan McTaggart (506-650-5184), Brian Hickman (506-271-3290), or Wade Moore (506-639-0493) by November 10th.
The Saint John Lions Club will be hosting a Lobster Take Out on November 15th; you can pick up the meals between 1 and 5pm. The dinner will include 2 lobsters, potato salad, coleslaw, a Moosehead product, and a donut or cookie. There are 6 tickets available; any members interested can contact the hall by Oct. 30th to have your name put in the draw. The draw will take place on Nov. 3rd.

4th call is for Lorneville at the Irving Pulp and Paper Mill. They require:
* 4 Journeyman Pipefitters * 1 Pipefitter Apprentice * 3 F3/F4 Welder to test on Carbon Stick; Duplex; Stainless Tig.
Starting Mon., Oct. 27th, at 5:00pm. This is a night shift call. Duration is 2 months plus. Will be working 4×10’s Monday – Thursday. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must complete online orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date.

Starting ASAP at 7:00am. Duration is 2-4 weeks. Will be working 4×10’s. This work is under the NMA Agreement under short-term conditions as per the site memo. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date, and a D&A test is required.
2nd call is for Cam at the Irving Oil Refinery. They require:
* 1 Journeyman Pipefitter * 1 F3/F4 Welder to test on F3/F4 F6/F5
Starting ASAP, at 7:00am. Duration is unknown. Will be working 4×10’s Monday – Thursday. The job scope is maintenance. This work is under the GPMA Agreement under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date, and a D&A test is required.
3rd call is for Sunny Corner at the Irving Oil Refinery. They require:
*1 Journeyman Instrument Tech *1 Instrument Tech Apprentice
Starting Wednesday, October 8th at 7:30am. Duration is 2-4 weeks. Will be working 4×10’s with possible overtime as required. This work is under the NMA Agreement. Must be clean shaven and fit tested.
