This is Local 213’s work information for Wednesday, July 16th, 2025.

The hall will be holding a confined space course; the date is TBD. Any local members that would like to attend, please contact the hall to get registered.

1st call is for Sunny Corner at Point Lepreau; they require:

*1 Pipefitter Apprentice for Days and *1 Journeyman Pipefitters  and *1 Apprentice Pipefitter for Nights

Starting Monday, Aug 25th. Duration is approximately 11 weeks. Start, quit, and break times TBD. Shifts will be 5×8 hour days with OT as required for onboarding for both day and night shifts. Shifts during mock-up training will be 5-10’s for both day and night shifts. Shifts during the outage will be 6-12’s for site setup and 6-12’s for execution, for both day and night shifts. This is for the Rocky Mountain Fitting Call for BWXT. There will be work in the reactor building, and there will be work in plastic suits. This work is under the PLGS NMA agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. CSIS clearance is required.

2nd is for Stuart Olsen at Irving Oil Refinery; they require:

*1 Apprentice Pipefitter 

Starting Monday, Aug. 11th, at 7:00am. Duration is 2 weeks plus. Will be working 4×10’s Monday-Thursday on days for pre-shut and 6×10’s for turnaround. Will be switching to nights for turnaround. This work is under the NMA agreement under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.

3rd Call is for Stuart Olsen at Irving Oil Refinery; they require:

*1 F3/F4 Welder to test on F3/F4; F6/F5 

Starting Monday, July 21st , at 7:00am. Duration is 2 weeks plus. Will be working 4×10’s Monday-Thursday for pre-shut on day shift and 6×10’s for turnaround. Will be switching to nights for turnaround. This work is under the GPMA Agreement under short-term conditions as per the site memo. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.

Starting Monday, July 21st. @ 7:30am.  Duration is unknown.  Will be working 4×10’s 40 hours plus possible overtime. This work is under the Long- Term GPMA agreement but currently under short term conditions.  Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.

3rd Call is for Stuart Olsen at Irving Oil Refinery; they require:

*5 Journeyman Pipefitters *2 Apprentice Pipefitters

 1st call is for Local 213 at the union hall; they require:

* 1 Welding Apprentice 

Starting Tuesday, July 15th. Duration is unknown. Will be working 5-8 hours. This work is under the Industrial agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date. 

 2nd call is for Lorneville at the IOR; they require:

* 1 Welding Apprentice to test for the Welder Ward Program.

Starting Tuesday, July 15th. Duration is 1 month plus, with an expected extension. Will be working 5-10’s for the summer, then back to 6x10s in September. This work is under the NMA short-term agreement based on the site memo. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested. Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must have all safety training up to date, and a D&A test is required.

The regular monthly meeting will be held tonight, Wednesday, July 9th, at 7pm at the Legion Branch 69, located at 714 Wilson Street West.

There will be CWB testing at the Hall on Thursday, July 10th. Please call the hall to reserve a booth.
