It is with great sadness we announce local member Jimmy Legere has passed away on June 27th, 2024. The mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Wednesday July 3rd @ 11:00am with visitation in the church foyer at 10:00am. Donations can be made in Jimmy’s honour to the Canadian Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
OUR REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING HAS BEEN CHANGED TO A MEETING FOR RATIFICATION AND VOTE ON OUR EXPIRED INDUSTRIAL AGREEMENT. The meeting will take place at the Legion Branch 69 – 714 Wilson Street West at 7:00 pm on July 10th. An information sheet will be sent out this week outlining the changes that have been made for you to lookover. There will be a reading of the changes followed by a question period and then a vote.
Local 213’s annual summer picnic will be held on Saturday, July 27th from 12:00pm – 4:00pm at the Glen Carpenter Center, 730 Foster Thurston Drive. The deadline for registering is July 5th. We are also looking for volunteers if your available to lend a hand please advise the hall when registering.
