It is with great sadness we announce the passing of local member Paul Bernier, who passed on April 21st, 2026. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, located at 230 Westmorland Road, with visitation being held on Friday, April 24th, from 12-2pm. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 2pm. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Paul can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Please be advised there will be a celebration of life being held for Billy Kreuzer on June 6th at 11am at the Kennebecaais Community Funeral Home. Everyone is welcome to attend and share stories and memories of Bill.

THE DAY OF MOURNING CEREMONY FOR SAINT JOHN WILL BE TUESDAY, APRIL 28TH. The ceremony will start at 12pm sharp. Please arrive by 11:45am. The starting point will be at the Day of Mourning Monument. Please attend and remember those who lost their lives due to a workplace injury or disease.

There will be a fall protection course held at the hall on Friday, May 15th, and a confined space course held on May 21st & 22nd. If you require either of these courses, please contact Jamie at the JATC to get booked in by calling 506-622-0219.

There is one call for Cam at Irving Oil Refinery; they require:

*1  Journeyman Pipefitter 

Starting Monday, April 27th, at 5:30pm. The shift schedule is 4x10s with possible overtime. The duration is unknown. This work is for maintenance and repair and is under the GPMA Agreement under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested and must have all safety training up-to-date and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. A D&A test is required
