Thursday, March 7th

This is Local 213’s Work Information for Thursday, March 7th.

There will be CWB testing at the Hall on March 15th. Please contact the Hall to get registered.

The first call is for Babcock & Wilcox at Irving Pulp and Paper (ETP Site).  They require 2 Pipefitters starting Monday, March 11th at 7:30am for Days.  Duration is unknown and they are working 4x10s.  You must have all safety training up to date, fit tested and be clean shaven.  This work is under the Industrial Agreement.

The second call is for Lorneville at Irving Pulp & Paper.  They require 1 Pipefitter starting Monday, March 11th at 7:00am for Days.  The duration is 2 weeks plus and they are working 4x10s.  You must have all safety training up to date, be fit tested and be clean shaven.  This work is under the Industrial Agreement.

Any local members interested in these calls can contact the hall Friday morning between 8:00 and 10:00am.

Tuesday, March 5th

This is Local 213’s Work Information for Tuesday, March 5th.

Any Pipefitters interested in a Fiberglass Course please contact the Hall to get registered.

There will be a Fall Protection course held at the Hall, the date is to be determined. Any members interested please contact the Hall to get registered.

1st call for Cam at the Irving Oil Refinery they require:

*1 Instrument Tech Journeyman

Starting  ASAP Day shift 7:30 am.  Duration is unknown. Will be working 4 x 10’s , 40 hours plus possible overtime . This work is under the Long Term GPMA Agreement.  Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must be clean shaven and fit tested. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.

2nd call is for CAM at the Irving Oil Refinery they require:

*3 Instrument Tech Apprentices

Starting Monday March. 11th Day shift 7:30 am.  Duration is unknown. Will be working 4 x 10’s , 40 hours plus possible overtime . This work is under the Long Term GPMA Agreement.  Must be able to climb and work from heights. Must be clean shaven and fit tested. Must have all safety training up to date. A D&A test is required.

Friday, March 1st

This is Local 213’s Work Information for Friday, March 1st.

It is with great sadness that we announce local member Douglas Hoyt passed away Feb. 25th, 2024.  Arrangements will take place at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium located at 26 Portage Street in St. George NB. Visitation will be Saturday from 2-4 with a service by the Baptist Church to follow.  In Doug’s memory, donations to Bobby’s Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
