Local 213’s annual summer picnic will be held Sat., July 11th, 2026, from 12:00pm to 4:00pm at the Glen Carpenter Centre, 730 Foster Thurston Drive. We are still looking for volunteers; if you’re available to lend a hand, please advise the hall when registering.
The 1st call is for Lorneville at the Irving Oil Refinery. They require:
* 1 Journeyman Pipefitter * 1 F3/F4 Welder to test on F3/F4; F6/F5
Starting Monday, July 13th, at 7:00am. The shift schedule is 4x10s, with possible overtime. The duration is 2 weeks plus. This work is under the NMA Agreement under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested and must have all safety training up-to-date and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. A D&A test is required.
The 2nd call is for Cam at the Irving Oil Refinery. They require:
* 1 F3/F4 Welder to test F3/F4 and F6/F5
Starting Monday, July 6th, at 7:30am. The shift schedule is 4x10s, with possible overtime. The duration is unknown. This work is under the GPMA Agreement under short-term conditions. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested and must have all safety training up-to-date and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site. A D&A test is required.

Starting Monday, July 6th, at 6:00 pm. This is a nightshift call. The shift schedule is 4x10s, 6 pm-4 am, with possible overtime. The duration is 1 month plus. Job scope: the Recovery Boiler. This work is under the Industrial Agreement. Must be clean-shaven and fit-tested and must have all safety training up-to-date and must complete all orientation and hire-on paperwork before reporting to the site.

This is Local 213’s work information for Wednesday, June 24th, 2026.
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brother Brian Stevenson; arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home. 111 Paradise Row, Saint John. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23rd, from 2 to 8 pm. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 25th, at 1:00pm at the Lancaster Baptist Church, 87 Church Ave., Saint John. Interment will take place at a later date. In memory of Brian, donations can be made to the Lancaster Baptist Church.
N.B. Pipe Trades is hosting a pension seminar on Thursday, June 25th, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Fredericton Inn, Salon A, 1315 Regent Street, Fredericton, NB, and it will be presented by TELUS Health. This seminar is an opportunity to learn more about your pension benefits and ask any questions you may have. For those unable to join in person, the seminar will be available virtually with a provided link. For anyone who has provided the NB Pipe Trades with an email address, a link will be sent out to you. If you have not provided an email address and would like to attend the seminar virtually, please contact their administration office at 506-459-6040 extension 1 to provide an email address. The virtual invite will be sent out on June 23rd.
