Thursday, June 20th

This is Local 213’s Work Information for Thursday, June 20th.

It is with deep sadness we announce local member Stephen Ryan passed away Tuesday, June 18th.  He is resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road with visitation being held on Sunday, June 23rd from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm.  A memorial service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Monday, June 24th at 10:00am, followed by an interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

A graveside service for Brother Joe Coram who passed away November 19, 2021 will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 at 11:00am. Reception at Legion Branch 69 to follow.

Any members who require updated safety courses, please contact the hall to get registered.

Local 213’s annual summer picnic will be held on Saturday, July 27th from 12:00pm – 4:00pm at the Glen Carpenter Center, 730 Foster Thurston Drive.  Please contact the hall to get registered before July 5th. We are also looking for volunteers if your available to lend a hand please advise the hall when registering.

There is 1 call for Lorneville at Irving Pulp & Paper, they require:

*1 Journeyman Pipefitter

Starting Monday, June 24th at 7:00am.  Duration is 2 months and they are working 4×10’s.  This work is under the Industrial Agreement.  Must have all safety training up to date, must be clean shaven and a valid fit test is required.  Must have all orientation and hire on documents completed before reporting to site.

Wednesday, June 19th

This is Local 213’s Work Information for Wednesday, June 19th.

The 1st call is for Sunny Corner at Coleson Cove, they require:

*1 Journeyman Pipefitter and 1 F3/F4 Welder to test on Carbon Tig Stick 9018 and Stainless Tig Stick 316

Starting Tuesday, July 2nd at 8:00am.  Duration is 8-10 weeks and they are working 5×8’s with overtime as required.  This work is under the National Maintenance Agreement.  Must have all safety training up to date, be able to climb and work at heights, lots of rigging, must be clean shaven and a valid fit test is required.  Must have all orientation and hire on documents completed before reporting to site.

The 2nd call is for Sunny Corner at Various Sites, they require:

*1 Journeyman F3/F4 Welder to test on F3/F4 and Stainless Tig

Starting at Moosehead Brewery Monday, June 24th at 7:30am.  Weld test tomorrow after dispatch. Duration is 2 weeks plus and they are working 4x10s.  This work is under the Industrial Agreement.  Must have all safety training up to date.  Must have a valid fit test.  All orientation and hire on documents must be completed before reporting to site.

Starting Monday, June 24th.  Shift starts at 7:00am.  Duration is 2 months and they are working 4×10’s, Monday-Thursday.  This work is under the Industrial Agreement.  Must have all safety training up to date, be clean shaven.  Must have all orientation and hire on documents completed before reporting to site.

The 2nd call is for Lorneville at Irving Pulp & Paper (ETP Site), they require:

*1 Apprentice Pipefitter who will be working with the tubing crew

Starting Monday, June 24th.  Shift starts at 7:00am.  Duration is 2 months and they are working 4×10’s, Monday-Thursday.  This work is under the Industrial Agreement.  Must have all safety training up to date, be clean shaven.  Must have all orientation and hire on documents completed before reporting to site.

The 3rd call is for Lorneville at 11 Whitebone Way, they require:

*1 Journeyman Pipefitter and 1 F3/F4 Welder to test on Mig Stainless & Tig Stainless

Pipefitter will start Wednesday, June 19th, Welder will test on Thursday, June 20th and start work Friday, June 21st.    Duration is 4 weeks and they are working 5×8’s (7:30 – 4:00pm) with possible overtime.  This work is under the FAB Shop Agreement.  Must have all safety training up to date, be clean shaven, must have a Steamfitters license valid for at least 3 months after the start date.  Must have all orientation and hire on documents completed before reporting to site.
